Rochelle Frederick

Rochelle or "Ro," as she is so aptly nicknamed by people in her "inner circle." graces the stage as B-Side Jones' sole (also spelled "soul") female musician and saxophonist.

At the very early age of 10, as she was growing up in Brooklyn New York, a local jazz musician gave her, her very first saxophone whom she named Moody (you'll have to ask her about that) and becoming greatly influenced by horn driven bands like Tower of Power as well as various Motown soul artists.

At some point during her high school years, Rochelle and her family made the move down to south Florida where she attended Dillard HS and quickly joined and performed with the schools jazz bands

After graduating, she accepted a 6 month stint performing on a cruise ship but soon realized she was meant to be on land!

Ro went on to receive degrees in both audio engineering as well as music theory and composition, and through the years, she"s had the chance to perform with such notable musical artists as Gloria Estefan, Janelle Monae, Ed Calle, Dick Hyman, and many others.

As the muscle behind hitting those big notes with either her tenor or baritone saxes, there's no question that Ro is B-Side Jones' "Saxophone Queen" and most truly deserving of her royal title!!!
